After too much time, I finally made it to this community's meetup. I came to the AWS offices for the season finale event of the 'Developers Outside the Box' podcast.
5 seasons. Hundreds of hours of recording. A community that talks about infrastructure, cloud, and AI as they collide in production.
Great speakers attended: Shani Kazaz, Itay Shafir, Mey Beisaron, Niv Yungelson, and Stav Ochakovski. I learned and wrote quite a bit in my notebook.
No more episodes in the background. Face to face with great people.
The lesson: Going "outside the box" also means getting away from the screen. To meet, to listen, to ask.
It's great to meet so many wonderful faces from the community and ecosystem away from the screen.
Try this week: Choose one event this year that you've been postponing. Register and attend.
