Most of our problems can be solved with this book.

Yes, the author Shahar Polak has held key roles in startups for decades (without giving away ages). Yes, Shahar is one of the hosts of one of the most listened-to podcasts in Israeli high-tech. (מפתחים מחוץ לקופסה - Developers outside the box)

Yes, it feels strange for me to introduce Shahar, because who doesn't know this bomb of energy and value? But hey, why not give a shout-out to a dear friend whom I respect and learn so much from? (The list is long, and I need to get to talking about the book, so I'll stop here)

It turns out we're not special snowflakes. Most of the challenges I experience and hear from acquaintances are quite repetitive.

Not enough hours in the day, workload, the manager, the team, self-actualization, decision-making, etc.

So, if there's a high frequency of the same difficulties, why aren't the solutions known?

Due to the nature of the rat race, it's hard to stop, take a step back, and solve those problems. Certainly not to compile experience-based insights into an accessible book that provides "aha!" moments with actionable steps.

Yes, the book is aimed at managers in startups. Yes, in my opinion, anyone can get a ton of value from this book.

In short, there are many accessible insights, illustrated with stories from Shahar's experience. I'm glad I read this book early in my career. Honestly, it would have helped during my degree too... I wish I had read it sooner.

Yes, I recommend reading the book.
